  • The SIX SHOP M5X Oil Pump Chain Tensioner kit is designed to incorporate the factory oil pump chain tensioners found on S50/S54 Engines that BMW did not fit on the M52/M54 Engines. 

     

    Using the supplied drilling template you can now upgrade your M50, M52 or M54 block to run the same tensioner. This kit is designed to reduce vibrations in the oil pump drive chain which, in turn helps to prevent the well documented issue of the oil pump sprocket nut backing off. 

     

    Please contact us if you would like us to provide a genuine BMW Oil Pump Chain at additional cost.  

     

    M5X0.8 will require drilling to 4.2mm.

    M6x1.0 will require drilling to 5mm.

     

    We also recommend that the plastic drilling template is single use only. 

     

    We strongly recommend that this kit is installed by a proffesional, competent mechanic.
